Can I receive a receipt for my lesson fee?

A

Your credit card statement serves as your receipt.
You will also receive an electronic receipt from Gallery Makino at the email address you entered during payment.

How can I cancel my monthly subscription?

A

Please contact me by email, and I'll cancel your subscription for you.

My preferred lesson time isn't available.

Please contact me through the "Contact" page if you would like to request a lesson outside the regular schedule. I may be able to accommodate your request.

How far in advance can I book a lesson?

A

You can book lessons up to 90 days (about three months) in advance.
Monthly subscription students can book up to 12 months in advance. Please contact me through the "Contact" page.

I don't want to book each lesson one at a time.

A

Monthly subscription students can book lessons up to 12 months in advance.
Simply contact me through the "Contact" page with your preferred dates and times.

Can I carry over unused monthly subscription lessons?

A

Unused lessons cannot be carried over to the following month.
You also cannot book more lessons than your monthly plan allows.

Can I reschedule or cancel a lesson?

A

Yes. You can reschedule or cancel your lesson using the link in your confirmation email up to 72 hours (3 days) before the lesson.

Is the instructor Japanese? Can I take lessons if I don't speak Japanese?

A

Yes. I am Japanese, and the lessons are conducted in Japanese.
However, Zoom's live translated captions allow both of us to read our conversation in our own languages.
Since many languages are supported, you can join the lessons with confidence.

Q

Do I need traditional Japanese painting materials to take your lessons?

A

Not necessarily. If traditional Japanese painting materials are difficult to obtain in your country, I can recommend suitable alternatives based on what is available where you live.
Before your first lesson, we'll discuss the materials that best suit your situation.

I'm a complete beginner. Is that okay?

Absolutely.
Lessons are tailored to each student's experience and goals, and beginners are always welcome.

Do I need to install the Zoom app?

A

Installing the Zoom app is recommended, but you can also join your lesson through your web browser without installing the app.

I'm not sure about taking lessons on Zoom. Can I ask questions before I start?

A

Yes. Please contact me through the "Contact" page.
You are welcome to book a free Zoom consultation before your first lesson. It's also a great opportunity to become familiar with Zoom.

What happens after I book a lesson?

A

Two days before your lesson, you will receive an email containing your Zoom meeting link.
Click the link in the email to open Zoom in your browser or the Zoom app.
You can also join the waiting room before your lesson begins, so I recommend checking that everything is working in advance.
